way into the ranks of the robots who were assigned to explore

Rumour has it that he was developed using the technology of
an alien civilization that Wily somehow got a hold of.
True to his name, Shadow Man became like a shadow after
the Gamma incident, acting as a personal body guard for
Wily and carrying out various espionage missions.
It was never made clear weather or not alien technology
was in fact used in the development of this mysterious robot,
and no other details are available regarding his true capabilities.
